The last Caribe Tours bus leaves at 7PM for Sosua.
Metro may leave later, I don't know.
The taxi may cost 25 or 30 bux.
There may be some trick for getting to the highway and taking public transport for a lot less, but it sure would be too long a walk with luggage.

They leave every hour on the hour. Last one like Rocky said at 7PM.

Unless they've changed recently the last Metro bus to Sosua leaves SD at 4pm

For some reason, Metro does not list Sosua on their website. I believe there are three buses a day from/to Sosua...but not sure of the times from Sosua.

You are right DavidZ,

Sosua News had an article in late December 2007 which listed departure times from Sosua.
Sos?a-News

The bus leaves four times a day from Sos?a, via Santiago, to the capital Santo Domingo. Departure times are 8.20am, 10.20, 13.20 and 17.50pm.

It would probably be best for the OP to contact Metro directly to get the Santo Domingo - Sosua schedule.

I called Metro today (around 12:00 noon), and the next two buses from Sosua to SD were 1:30 PM and 5:30 PM...maybe they've already changed the schedule?
And that explains why more people still take Caribe Tours.
You'd need a friggin crystal ball to know when the bus is coming or leaving.
The day that they get the website scheduling straight and adhere to it, they will start stealing Caribe Tour's market share away.

You're absolutely right Marco..Caribe Tours takes longer (has more stops), but they have many more departures, in my experience ALWAYS leave on time, and are cheaper...but if Metro would get their act together about scheduling and maybe add a few more buses, Caribe could be in trouble.
