I'm going to be in Santiago between July 27 and August 15 and I'm looking for inexpensive accomodation, preferably not a hotel. Aparthotel or something like that

Try the hotel Rotunda. Clean small rooms with cable and fan for 350rd a night, ac rooms in back with fridge, hot water etc for 700. I have stayed there many times, and is right next to the Metro station and other guaguas, etc.

Bora Bora is slightly higher end depending on what you are looking for...the simple/sencilla rooms arent outrageous, the other higher end ones are lovely and you get your money's worth. I say talk to someone there and make a deal, long term, see what you can work out. i love the place and its not break the bank by any means.
