Has anyone on the site had any dealing with this Dominican group. We are looking for some properties and have been in contact with them. We always work on the cautious side.

We've had some high level people tell us to be careful but we wanted to see if there were any other people out there with input.

Thanks for the help,

James

Good or Bad

I don't know if it's good or bad that nobody on the site has ever heard of these guys or has ever had business dealings with them.

Give us a website, a location, anything that will help us know who you are talking about.

Already had it

Sorry Rocky but my original post was not answered. I already have the info from the various sites. What I was looking for, as I said in the first posting, was anyone who may have had dealings with this group or anyone who knows anyone who may have had dealings. As we all know, you can't always believe what you read, and shouldn't!

I was reading between the lines.
The diversity of that company would insinuate to me that they do not specialize in our local RE market, therefore you could conclude that they wouldn't be your best bet, but that is only my opinion.

Does seem to be a Jack of All Trades type outfit with, one is tempted to speculate, a sideline in metal exports :ermm:

Could I ask what leads you to suppose that this is a Dominican group? The phone numbers on the website aren't Dominican Republic exchanges & the address given is Corporate Offices 41228 12th St west Suite D Palmdale, CA 93551? In the US they appear to be called Future Home Investments.

Would this be a broker dealing in a range of commodities, RE being one, perhaps augmented by bullion & metals when the RE market in US started developing problems?

I don't know if it's good or bad that nobody on the site has ever heard of these guys or has ever had business dealings with them.

James

Most expats would tell you to go with a known reputable company. If no-one has heard of these guys perhaps they're just starting up or just beginning to branch out to DR market after the US one tanked somewhat? It wouldn't be 'bad' necessarily but it wouldn't be a risk I would take. I would go with the known & recommended.

Looks shady to me...
it's all about commission to one another... but I would not trust someone who does not have an office here...

Real Estate in this country is always a risk

That was a pretty broad and in my opinion unwarranted statement about the Dominican Republic - Real Estate in any country is a risk - that's why wise intelligent people looking at real estate will perform due diligence and enter into relationships with advisers (Lawyers, Accountants, Real Estate Agents, DR1 members, Expats, etc) that they can trust to advise them properly.

For fairness and full disclosure, I am in the Real Estate business

Greetings. I was looking for a company that worked with Real Estate in DR and this company?s website came up on a web search. Would anyone provide some information on more reputable and experienced companies working on this line.
In advance, thank you.

Why don't you guys that have questions about the company simply call the principles, ask your questions, and request references instead of gossiping in a forum? The contact information is clearly posted on the front page of the website.

OK, you can bet that no-one on this site knows this company. And if no-one on this site knows this company, I would not be the first one to try them.

Let's not go off topic on this thread.
