Now this is great! I made a list with the ones I found in Youtube, and I got sent a 30-minute mpg with the other commercials, those with pregoneros, etc.

These were made by Nandy Rivas, and he was/is a genius. They are now at least 18 years old, and were famous for their ability to pick the perfect people for the last parts...
I still quote the one on Saman? in my history classes...
And many still quote the one on Moca "Mocanos son secos, sacudidos y medidos con buen caj?n."

When some idiot came in and switched publicity firms, Barcel? began losing market share....MBAs are not all they are pumped up to be, I guess....

Yep, i can see that today's commercials are nothing to what they were yesterday. It is a darn shame.

080903k: I areee with you totally, but I think the point you make is totally off subject.

However, considering the alternatives, you might be right. Who knows??? Now if you were to consider the opposite, you could get into some very serious discussions regarding the relativity of that idea of yours...

HB, a true cynic..

I don't know how to embed the video like you do, so I'll post one link. If you guys can show me how, then I can publish others :)

San Juan de la Maguana: YouTube - Anuncio Barcelo San Juan
Mariel,
on the top right side you will see a yellow SUBSCRIBE tab, hilight and copy the enbedded html code and then just paste it on your dr1 thread. If you click on customize you can also change the colors.

Wow!
Very nostalgic videos. I remember that during this time Barcelo was the rum of choice. It was every where and I drank plenty of it. The other rums were unheard of, including Brugal. (I know! They existed then but they weren't as popular as Barcelo at that time). This was in the late 80's, my teenage years, going to many discos, beaches (boca chica) and rios (rio nizao). This was the years of the cocinaos, las giras, kermeces and parties. These commercials were very popular, everyone would stop what they were doing to watch them. Those were the golden years, at least for me.

LOL yeah, I'm not kidding. I can't do salsa or bachata either.

When I was young and nice (I'm just "and" today hehe), I had people teach me to dance merengue and salsa 23476435954 times and they'd say that "I got it" quite quickly but nah, I don't think I'll ever get it.

These are the must rules for nondancing people when dancing.
feel comfortable
Start with the basic until your body start feeling the rythm.
wear good dancing shoes.
don't stare down at your or your partner's feet.
keep eye contact with your partners all the time.
wear comfortable clothes.
practice every time you get a chance even if it means dancing by yourself.
You can have an alcoholic drink to kinda let your right side of the brain overtake your left but make sure you keep it at a limit and not to get too dependant on it. You don't want to be some of those people that think they can't dance unless they use chemicals to stimulate their brains.
