Does Transaero sell tickets only without hotel package?
Transaero sells tickets for First class only, this is a really comfortable journey. If you want to fly from P PLata try COndor.

This was going to be my suggestion, but I think Thai Airways is pulling out of JFK (if it hasn't already) They will only serve LAX
Still, it will probably be cheaper to go via the US (assuming the OP has a visa or is eligible for VWP)
