Boca Chica to Las Terrenas??

How do I best get from Boca Chica (or Romana/Bayahibe, if I go that far east) up to Las Terrenas? Happy to take a bus if I can find quick service. Or even fly. But can't seem to find regularly scheduled service into/out of El Portillo up in Terrenas.

The new road that leads up from Las Americas would get you to Las Terrenas in a couple of hours. Not sure if the bus goes that way though

Take Off Air/SAP Express used to fly daily from Santo Domingo to Porillo, just outside of LT, for around $79...but I just checked their website and they've dropped some flights (including that one) and raised all their prices...A LOT!! :(

They do offer a shuttle bus from SDQ to Las Terrenas hotels for $95 USD - they say it takes 2 hours 15 minutes...

I traveled the new highway last week , nice only 1 detour about 3/4 of the way . from princeaple cayaco to bocachica total time 2 hours 10 minutes . the only problem i see is if there are cars waiting at the toll booths ( very slow)
