Thanksgiving Groceries

Hi,

I will be coming to PUJ for Thanksgiving week. I'm still not very familiar with the area. Any recommendations on a big grocery store where I can find what I would need to cook T-DAY dinner? Are there any specialty shops in the area where I can get cheeses, wine etc? Thank you.

The best supermarkets in the area in terms of selection are the large Supermercado Caribe near the Friusa intersection and La Marqueta on the Ver?n-B?varo road. I'm a relative newcomer to the area so would also welcome tips on the more specialist food shops. The deli/minimarket in Punta Cana Village is one such place, but there may be others.
Some posters might recommend a trip to Higuey (Iberia supermarket), La Romana (Jumbo supermarket) or even the capital for best results.
