I teach English as a Second Language in the United States and I was looking to travel to Santo Domingo in the summer and do some kind of summer school program or tutoring program. I looked into a few schools but they said they wouldn't know until summer if they would have any openings. Any suggestions?!

I learned that you just have to come down and see in the summer. It?s just like that. I tried the whole contact before and THEN come down. It RARELY works. Come down, you?ll for sure find a job teaching at an institute or something.

Thanks for the info... Do you think Santo Domingo would have the most opportunities?!

Yes, the capital city has the most schools, therefore the most job openings...

If you come down you can apply for a job at all the English centers and pick the best one for you! Usually they NEED teachers in summer, since some go on vacation.
