I will be going to Punta Cana from Toronto on December 31-January 7

It says that it will be really windy on accuweather...one day even 38km/h wind!!!

The weather will still be good, 30 degrees and sunny everyday.

But will the wind really be 30km/h? On the weather network it says that the wind there is currently only 7 km/h. Is it possible that the winds won't really be that fast and that they have made a mistake? Will these winds make me feel cold? Help, I'm soo worried.

Go to the following website:

http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/MDPC.html

It is from the the U.S. National Weather Service. Weather information sent from the Punta Cana airport is gathered there, providing a hourly breakdown of local conditions with the exception of some nightime hours. It provides the time, date, temperature in C/F, dew point, barometric pressure, and wind speed in mph.

The information will give you a handle on local conditions, especially the wind.

It is a given that you are from Toronto, why worry about the wind? Punta Cana's warm weather even with wind is a blessing compared to the cold artic expresses traveling over Toronto this time of year.

Welcome and regards,
