Fernando Cafe in Boca Chica has changed ownership.

I stopped in for lunch today to find a very pleasant surprise. Although I must admit I have always liked Fernando Cafe the new owner is off to a great start. The entrees are in the $10 US price range and quite tasty. I ordered the Penne with a Mixed Seafood Sauce and I have no complaints.

The Fernando Cafe sign remains outside but the owner, Costanzi Gianbattista, informed me the new name is Ristorante Oca Martina.

It is right around the corner from Parque Central. If you are walking down duarte take a left when you get to the parque. cant miss it.

I've always liked the place. Nothing spectacular...just good solid dominican food. Very good pollo guisado and bacalao. Oh...and if you order the Camarones Creole...make sure to ask for the grandes (i think about 50 pesos more...but worth it!).
