AI-Hotel for Young Adults in JD? (Help!)

Hello,

I'm looking for a All Inclusive Resort in Juan Dolio that doesn't charge an arm and a leg (and a small baby lol ). Something with a considerable amount of Dominican singles. I'm 26 and I'm heading over to Juan Dolio with my parents and 2 adult brothers (21, 28), and of course we want to get the most of out the trip (nightlife, dominican women, nice "ambiente" as we say). Any ideas? I've searched TripAdvisor so far and of course the DR1 forums.

I would recommend the Coral Costa Caribe but I am not sure what they will charge you for staying.
Search for Barcelo properties in JD. I think I stayed in one called Talanquera [sp?] and it was reasonably priced.
Do you HAVE to be in an AI and HAVE to be in Juan Dolio? why not stay in the capital where you will be coloser to nightlife and women?

Cheapest is Barcelo Talanquera followed by Coral Costa Caribe and then Barcelo Capella. You get what you pay for. Be warned there is no real night life in Juan Dolio. A casino in the Costa Caribe - may be a disco in the hotel somenights and apart from that just a few bars. Some have the occasional night of live music.

I agree....that being said i say the OP go somewhere in the capital rather than an AI in Juan Dolio.... :ermm:

actually after reading the OP's post i vote you young adults venture off and leave the parents behind. you will find everything you need in the capital if it's nightlife, women and ambiente you are looking for! :)

thanks for the replies everyone, I ended up staying at the Talanquera. Wasn't that great, pretty small compared to the other resorts I've been to and the "ambiente" was non-existent and saddening. I probably will never head back to JD, like someone already said, there is no night life. Just "cueros". :paranoid: lol We made the best of it and took a 3 hour ATV tour.....that turned into 5 when the tour guide got comfortable with us. And the food sucked....cleaned me out though. :surprised

Our condo is in the Capital, believe me lol.......we definitely got plenty of nightlife (5-6am), women, and "ambiente" (La Venezuela clubs/bars & Street parties en La Mella). I was just looking for a change from the "city life", next time I'll just go back to Puerto Plata where there are more Dominicanos.
