Best budget accomodations near Cabarete/Sosua??

Looking for a cheap,descent place to stay in the cabarete/sosua are. I'm thinking about the surf lodge in Cabarete. anyone stayed there?

oasis in cabarete is pretty cheap but basic its right on the beach and a five minute walk into town- the owner is a keen surfer who could direct you in where to surf etc
