Government gives away energy-saving light bulbs,
In order to help people save electricity, the government of President Leonel Fern?ndez is giving away energy-saving light bulbs. Government employees are currently going around the apartments in Villa Liberaci?n and La Uni?n with big bags of lamps, replacing ordinary bulbs with energy-saving versions. These new lamps are free of charge to everybody who swaps them for traditional light bulbs.
The residents of these suburbs are very enthusiastic about this government campaign as it not only saves them energy, it also ensures that their electricity bills are lower at the end of each month - and that's also a good thing!
