Am going back to the wonderful DR very shortly, and again will be staying in Cabarete. From what I have read there are about 1000 year round residents in this town; if someone can verify this fact I would be grateful. I would like to know if there is a person or group of people that govern/or run the town?
I am most interested in helping the Dominicans there, and it would be very helpful if I could talk with some influential people and discuss what can be done to assist the local people. The country has been most hospitable to me and my frineds and it would please us to contribute something back to the people who have been our hosts for many years. Thanks to anyone who can give me information.
