who will win the election, someone give me insight

hello, i am an american who went to the dominican republic one month ago, to the great town of Monte Plata. Elections.
People here say that the second round was between Hippolito and Danilo.
But Danilo stood back!!!That means that Hippolito won.

Hey, give the guy a break! There was absolutely no coverage of the DR elections in the Canadian media--I found out the results through DR1.
