Nuclear Waste in the DR?????

:ermm:Could it be??? Is this true?
A friend told me that she was living in El Valle (Eastern DR) 4 years ago and her whole family took sick. She said that toxic waste including nuclear waste was dumped near Samana and got everyone sick. It was brought in from Puerto Rico, so the story goes. She said many people got sick and some died and it was kept hush hush.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this event. It seems incredible. Is it true????

Do a search on Samana rock ash, fly ash or rockash. It was toxic and caused a scandal, but it was NOT nuclear waste.

Yea when we get the nuclear stuff in, that will go Haina next to the lead battery super fund site for clean up. the fly ash was a minor problem compared to the Lead cleanup. And I believe the still burning(smoldering garbage dump).
