Hi Gang - Any know if Sirius satalite radios work in DR, espically Puerto Plata area?

I brought my whole XM gear and tried it last year............ no funcionne

The XM people said it might work if the satellites were in range but...nada

Remember, they don't like you to take it out your home base

Give it a try but.......

only north america

I spoke with the people from sirius or at least the call center in Costa Rica and they did tell me XM and Sirius only work in North America, but you can get a live stream online.

We tried our XM radio last time we went down to Sosua but no luck. Too bad as we love having it when ever we are on the road.

XM doesn't work in the DR, Sirius does. I tried both

I was planning for it to be a week without Stern in March. But now I'm thinking about streaming from the wifi at the hotel.

As of about a year ago, I was getting Sirius in Santiago. Did they change they way they send the signal?
