As I read now of the many many Haitians who are fleeing the Capital to go back to relatives in the countryside, I am mindful of the absence of good seeds and farm hand tools.
Only in the market at Elias Pina have I seen tools for sale and nowhere have I seen seeds.
I would appreciate it if DR!ers could keep this issue in mind in the coming months.
The UN FOOD Programme, with the efficiency that only a huge international organization can provide, said in a recent report that it was searching for seeds that would be suitable for growing in Haiti...and that it had found some beans ... in GUATEMALA
