This is about the size of a cat. Not the cutest critter around, but certainly worth trying to preserve. Maybe they could dedicate some uninhabited islands to these, after removing things that might eat it like rats, cats, dogs and such. Cuba has LOTS of uninhabited islands, and Haiti and the DR also have several.
