Next phase of Trump at Cap Cana


In a special visit to Cap Cana, Punta Cana’s premier luxury resort and real estate community, Donald J. Trump held a press conference to highlight the many recent developments in his Trump at Cap Cana project, announcing a new condo hotel, beach club and world-class golf courses on site.

Accompanied by Dr. Ricardo Hazoury, President of Cap Cana’s Board of Directors, and Fernando Hazoury, Vice President of the Cap Cana Board, Trump expressed his passionate belief that “Cap Cana is one of the most wonderful places in the world, known world wide for its highest level of luxury and exclusivity - with beautiful natural surroundings as well as a solid plan for its development.”

Dr. Hazoury expressed his pride in the Dominican Republic and its recognition as a prime destination for luxury real estate tourism development, attracting great brands and foreign investment that make significant contributions to the national economy. “This is the future of our country.”

Trump has invested an important sum into this project which will increase over the maturity of its development. He emphasized the country’s stability and safe climate, as well as Cap Cana’s solid reputation as his main reasons for making this ongoing investment.

“The present real estate crisis in the United States has not affected Cap Cana, as its property owners do not come from one single country, but rather from all over the world. My perception is that within the next 12 months, the situation in the United States will resolve and will stabilize.”

Trump also announced that Hanse Golf Course Design Inc., one of the leading international golf course design companies, will be designing the first of Trump at Cap Cana’s new golf courses, Farallón and Dolinas, perched well above sea level on the project’s stunning bluff.

Living the Dominican Dream for Cheap


Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is a great place to live the Caribbean dream, a TV property expert has suggested.

Zilpah Hartley, television property expert, told the paper that in Punta Cana investors can enjoy luxurious surroundings “without breaking the bank”.

Ms Hartley also emphasised that “development and investment have hit new highs with upgrades to international airports and roads and the creation of new golf courses”.

Visitors to the Dominican Republic can already benefit from a gorgeous year-round climate, clear, warm blue seas and long stretches of stunning white sand.

The Sunday Mirror has reported that property prices in the Punta Cana region rose by as much as 20 per cent in the past year. There has recently also been huge investment - some £2.5 million - in the infrastructure of the region. This has bolstered a thriving tourist industry. Numbers are currently increasing by around six per cent a year.

Punta Cana is considered the major resort area in the Dominican Republic. Several professional golf courses have been built in the region. The Punta Cana Group is the most renowned of the projects in the region, in which celebrities such as Oscar de La Renta and Julio Iglesias have residences.

Outside of the hotels, several small plazas and discotheques allow tourists to interact with local residents. Other tourist attractions have also been installed in the area, among them a waterpar), Plaza Bolera Punta Cana (a shopping mall and bowling center)and a Marina. Saona Island, located nearby, is popular for scuba diving.

The weather is fairly constant, with an average temperature of 26°C. The hottest season lasts from April to November, and during the day temperatures might reach 32°C. From December to March, temperatures during the evening are around 20°C. Very little rain falls around the area, mostly because of the flat landscape.
