We stayed at this resort for 11 nights. We have stayed at other all inclusives, mostly in Mexico, so this was not a new experience for us. We found the staff and all the Dominican people we had the privilege to meet to be outstanding in their warmth, hospitality and enthusiasm to be helpful. The Villas Doradas has an excellent beach area and two very nice pools. Our accomodations were comfortable, but we found the room decor to be a bit shabby and in need of freshening up. The food was average in quality and variety, with breakfast being the best meal of the day. The resort\\\'s limited meal times and no availibility of snacks or meals during \\\"off hours\\\" was frustrating when we were on excursions. The resort was very clean overall and the houskeeping and groundskeeping staff did a great job keeping it that way. Of special note was the \\\"Animation Team\\\", whose charm, energy and enthusiasm was hard to resist. They were not at all overbearing, but always friendly and helpful.

I have been to the DR many of time at different locations, I must say that this was a great place to spend time. The food was good pools were clean and clear and beach was right there. The nightly entertainment was good and the staff A-ok. Shopping plaza in walking distance and casinos right there. This is a must see.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Villas Dorado in January 2004. First all inclusive holiday we had been on. We found the accomodation to be of a good standard we were situated almost on top of the beach which was fantastic, we found on our last day that if you go down onto the beach and turn left, keep walking and you will find beautiful clear waters. The food was average, a bit boring towards the end of our 2 week stay. The staff you couldn't fault they were amazing and went out of their way to keep you entertained in a not to over the top manner. Had a great holiday here and definitely recommend The Paradise Island excursion. If I were to return to The Dominican, I would probably opt for the south side of the island (white sands etc) If you get bored of the standard food you can always book for the grill, its free but not many people tend to know about it. Also during teh day the beach bar is serving fast food, burgers etc. Overall Villas Dorados is a great palce to stay. (Enjoy the pool bar)
