The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reports rains for Tuesday early evening and will continue to bring rains on Wednesday and Thursday, as a tropical wave moves across the island. Onamet forecasts isolated thunderstorms will affect the northeast, east, Caribbean coast, Central Mountain Range and the border area.
Onamet explains that Hurricane Iota that is devasting Central America will not affect the Dominican Republic.
