Dominican light heavyweight boxer, 33-year old Lenin Castillo went from the ring to the hospital after a short bout with 31-year old Callum Smith at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on 25 September 2021. The good news is that he shortly after recovered and was never hospitalized.

Smith landed Castillo a punch right to the head in the second round. Castillo was unresponsive after the knockout. As reported, Castillo’s legs started spasming as he was down, too, making for a scary scene as the official immediately ended the fight and called for medical assistance.

Diario Libre reports that Castillo is well and is on his way back to the Dominican Republic.
