The Dominican government Films Agency (DGCine) would confirm on Thursday, 26 May 2022 the death of Ray Liotta at his hotel room in the Colonial City. 67-year old Liotta was in the Dominican Republic for the filming of the movie, “Dangerous Waters”.

At his death, he was accompanied by his fiancée, 47-year old Jacy Nittolo, who called the front desk to communicate the death in the early morning. A unit of the National Institute of Forensic Services removed the corpse for an autopsy before the sending the body to the United States. It is up to the family to make the results of the autopsy public.

Liotta is best known for his performances in Goodfellas and Field of Dreams.

Reportedly, Liotta died in his sleep. He had a daughter, Karsen, of 24 years old.
