The Ministry of Foreign Relations of Bolivia announced that visa-free travel is now in place for citizens of Bolivia and the Dominican Republic. The move seeks to strengthen regional integration and cooperation. The agreement was signed on 8 August 2024 by Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa Lunda and Dominican Ambassador Claudio Marte and goes into effect as of 2 September 2024.
There are several air connections to reach South America from the Punta Cana and Santo Domingo international airports.
