The US Embassy in Santo Domingo has issued a notification to its citizens that it cannot provide any facilities to its citizens crossing the Dominican land border with Haiti in either direction. In a note issued on various social platforms, the US Embassy stated that while the border is officially closed, it has received reports of some US citizens being assisted in crossing into the Dominican Republic at the four official gateways: Pedernales, Jimani, Dajabon, Comendador (Elias Piña).
