With 21 games to go before the end of the regular season, the standings are:Leones del Escogido, Estrellas Orientales are 1.5 games behind, Tigres del Licey, 3.5 games behind and Aguilas Cibaeñas 4.5 games behind. The Toros del Este are 7 games behind and Gigantes del Cibao are 7.5 games away, but mathematically these two teams still have a chance to make it to the round robin.
The top four teams of the regular season pass to the round robin that starts from zero to decide the playoff teams.
