The Ministry of Tourism reports that the Dominican Republic (DR) is rapidly solidifying its status as the preferred Caribbean getaway for Mexican travelers, experiencing a remarkable surge in visitor numbers. The boom is fueled by affordable fares offered by competing airlines, including Aeromexico (Mexico) and Arajet (Dominican Republic). Aeromexico flies into Mexico City’s (MEX) airport and Arajet to the newer NLU airport.
