CAF, the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, has significantly bolstered its commitment to the Dominican Republic with the inauguration of new offices in Santo Domingo, an event attended by Vice President Raquel Peña. The recent opening was paired with the presentation of the institution’s new 2024–2028 Country Strategy, a four-year roadmap designed to drive sustainable and inclusive national development.

The strategic plan, formally handed over to the government, is structured around three core pillars, all aligned with the Dominican Republic’s national priorities. CAF executive president Sergio Díaz-Granados emphasized that the strategy aims to “close historical gaps, expand opportunities, and accompany the country in a productive transformation.” Vice President Peña echoed this sentiment, stating the vision “fully coincides with the program of transformations we are promoting” and arrives at a “crucial moment.”
