President Abinader announces Presidente Beer will bring back its legendary Festival Presidente that some 10 years ago was the leading musical festival in the Caribbean and Central American region. The announcement comes on the heels of the successes of the Bad Bunny concert in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

The Cerveceria Nacional Presidente, the Presidente beer brewery, for years had sponsored the event that gathered the leading Latin music performers for three days in Santo Domingo.

2026 is the year for the return, but no specific date was mentioned. The last time the festival was held was in 2017, marking 20 years of the first concert. The festival was suspended after the beer company had changed ownership and complained that the new taxes on beer sales had reduced sales.
