I will be arriving in Santo Domingo on February 21, 2013, and I would like to communicate with members that are there, I have a few ideas, and once I am there I would like to arrange group meetings and events for the exchange of ideas and mutual interests and ways and means.

Please comment on this.

Well I am going to live there, and the idea is to get together and brain storm and eat good stuff and in general work on whatever, it is all very vague since I have no clue until I get there.

What work do you plan on doing?

I used to work as a consultant with various part of the DG, and the private sector there, and I was offered My old job again, I called My old boss and he is thrilled, I want to assist others in their plans once I am there, and want to plan some parties too.

I also have much experience in general construction, plumbing and electrical, minoring in carpentry & framing etc.... both in the U.S. and the Dominican Republic, and I would be delighted to assist or learn from folks that are either building or want to build.

Much of anything in the Dominican Republic is Political, and I learned that from My family members with a history that dates back to the 1700s......

I'm going to be on a trip this week, back next week, but would be interested to talk...

My o My o My

My o My o My I too want to communicate with members that are there, I have a few ideas also, and once I am there I would like to arrange group meetings and events for the exchange of ideas and mutual interests and ways and means. Perhaps we could have a committee, we could call it the "ways and means committee." It could meet at undisclosed locations and My idea would be to not even tell the members of its location.

I love your idea about eating good stuff, and the partying thing is also very appealing. All kidding aside though, you seem like a great person wanting to help others. I am in Bavaro for the time being but if you make it over this way I would love to meet up with you. I also have inlaws in Santo Domingo so it's possible that at some point we could meet up over there. In any event, good luck to you!

"Sorry Carlos", I Ain't Buy'n What You'r Sell'n!
I never trust anyone who wants to offer me, unsolicited help!
I thought you might have Dominican "Roots", especially after reading several of your negative posts about your Haitian Brothers & Sisters!

Carlos:

Why are you being so evasive? I don't know what game you are playing but please go some where else with your little scam. The rest of us have been in the DR for a while and have seen all kinds of quick schemes and parlor games. Sorry, but we don't need your kind of help in our daily lives.

A big hello to you too , it is only a scam if someone asks you for money, and I am not asking for any. Later !

Not that I necessarily believe you either (I just don't care), but understand that most people on this forum are more then a bit ....loopy.

If I knew a better way to meet foreigners in person (I still can't imagine why you'd want to), I'd let you know, but that day has yet to come.
