How did she get the capital to start that? Is she hinting at a loan?

A guy she knows, a much older guy, yes he was/is a boyfriend to some degree put up 100,000 pesos. She never lied about it told me from the start. I have no issue with him, nice guy tried to help her become self sufficient.
She has never asked me for a loan, although I would help her if she did. Of all the Chicas I have met in the DR
I find her to be very humble. She is trying to make a go of it, some guy tried to set her up in business.

That's a substantial investment.

Just remember that if she asks you to "loan" her money, do not expect to get it back.

In the DR more times than not it really means to give. Just letting you know
how things are and not to get upset if it happens. When dealing with the
locals you risk and lose alot.

Dominican locals very rarely pay back. When they say lend it means give.

I learned the hard way.

"Knowing ABOUT you makes me happier".

As pollito said, her spelling is surprisingly good. Given the average, that is.

Contango, really, are you mocking the sacred members of DR1? :cheeky:

"Saber de " means "knowing about".
"Yo no se de eso" = "I don't know about that"

Don't try to read between lines, "Estoy bien y mejor ahora que se de ti" is a very typical response to the usual "Como estas?"
