A couple years ago i flew to a few Caribbean islands out of SDQ on small airlines, I believe LIAT or INSEL. They were direct flights and only $200+. On their sites i do not see the same coverage. Anyway i would prefer to fly out of POP or SDQ to Antigua-has anyone done this recently?

Try PAWA. They have flights via SXM a couple of times a week. Flew with them to ANU a few times last year.

Alternative is Inter Caribbean but will involve changing flights whereas PAWA you stay on the same aircraft.

You can also go via SJU and pick up a flight to ANU with Seaborne or via SXM and a flight using Winair. Insel and Liat do not fly to DR anymore.

Everything only out of SDQ? What were the cost of your air fares?

Inter Caribbean fly out of POP but this means you route through Providenciales and could connect with the BA flight to ANU. It will not be cheap that way.

I used to fly to ANU return with PAWA at about $500. And to fly anywhere in the Leewards don't expect anything less than $500 and sometimes you can pay over $1000 return. My recommendation is to book direct with PAWA on their website albeit you may get it a few dollars cheaper on Expedia which doesn't always show the PAWA flights.

$485.60 for a return flight late January is what PAWA website quotes
