A wrongfully convicted man who won around US$14 million after settling his case against New York City was murdered in Las Caobas, Santo Domingo on Friday, 11 September 2020. 57-year old Ruddy Quezada was enjoying his wealth and was known to flaunt his turn of fortune after spending 24 years in jail for the murder he didn’t commit. Quezada wore gold chains making him a target of bandits.

The Dominican Police announced the arrest of two now accused of the murder. The Police say the crime was planned by Jamel Santana Fajardo who is in jail at La Victoria for murder and his brother, Rene Moreta, who worked at a car wash where the victim routinely washed his car.

Some people will never understand how it works in the DR...This is not the pace to come show off your new Money.
and Its not even the money thats the problem ... its how you go about it ... Throwing it in their faces that you got it so good , unless you sharing a LOT of it , you are just making yourself a Target

Now if this man was FEEDING the Hungry kids, or having a School or Hospital Built with his Millions , and at least buying baseball equipment for the Youngins and being Active in the community,
there is NO WAY he would ever have been a Target .. they would have protected him in fact . no one would have touched a hair on his head , or they would have gotten got themselves ..

It doesnt seem like he was flaunting his wealth, it seems like the inmate got ahold of his phone records at the prison and obtained his personal info. That made him the target. Life is about to get harder in La Victoria thanks to idiots like that.

Crackheads and career criminals don't care if you're buying baseball equipment or not. He could've built a new HOMS in his town wouldn't have made any difference. Senators, diputados, coronels get jacked and robbed. You got money and they catch you slipping, you getting jacked.

Not trying to be rude but did you read the article?
" Quezada wore gold chains making him a target of bandits."
"The Police say the crime was planned by Jamel Santana Fajardo who is in jail at La Victoria for murder and his brother, Rene Moreta, who worked at a car wash where the victim routinely washed his car."

No offense taken but I see plenty of people, especially dominicans, wearing gold chains. He was hit because the scumbag had access to his personal information inside the bing.
