I’m sure things will never reach the point here as it’s taking place in some developed nations now.

Thanks God we have a younger population by majority...

This is horrible!
Now it affects 20 -40 yr olds 50% .. you can run but you can’t hide..

What will be interesting to report is what percentage of front line health care workers in DR refuse to be vaccinated once whatever vaccines are widely distributed throughout the island.
It will vary by locale and hospital or clinic.
But based on US reporting it is as low as 10 % up to 50 % of Healthcare professionals are refusing the vaccine. Does that bode well for the general populace unless it becomes mandated?

% of DR front line health care who refuse to be vaccinate =
∆( π× % of Dominicans that are rioting against the curfew )

Where did you get it, Zoomie?
Houston.

The governor of Texas told all the hospitals and any facility that had the vaccine to use them immediately to combat the virus.
Even public health began giving the shots and used what they had by mid day.
Methodist Hospital went down their former patient list and sent me a text message out of the blue.

After one day I have a small bit of muscle soreness in injected arm, about the same as I experience with the flu shot .
I have read muscle soreness is a positive sign the vaccine is working and not a response to the puncture wound.
I had the Pfizer which has a 21 day wait for the booster shot.
No other reaction to the shot.

This was a great start off to the new year for me but I may be a bit more of a vaccine enthusiast than others here.

As far as evidence of vaccination:
Most US hospitals have a "patient portal" and use it to post test results, doctors messages or answer questions.
It is pass word protected and cell phone accessible so if I need proof of vaccination I just open it.

We don’t need to vaccinate 10 million people

Only those 30 yo and older.
The fatality rate in those under 30 is extremely minimal.

More than half of the population is under 30 here.
We can do much better than other places with the correct vaccination 💉 campaign.
Its a cheap vaccine and human life is worth more than the cost of a single vaccine dose.
The job of government is to protect all the citizens not just ones in your age bracket.

Rumored the DR has a down pay on AZ so the doses numbers are already in place.
This is not Nazi Germany.
The DR can well afford to vaccinate every living soul.
The future of the country is in its young people.
I am all for saving money but not like this.
Do we need another Go Fund Me page?

Imagine being 29 and reading this crazy idea to exclude you.
How about a 29 year old doctor working with sick Covid patients, do they get the vaccine?

No one has any idea what percent of health workers will refuse the vaccine.
People who work with a science based education tend to believe in science.
When you have seen people dying in agony from Covid you will get the vaccine.
Ever watch someone suffocating from asthma or severe pulmonary edema?

Ah, but "they" will hide amidst "alternate facts , conspiracy theories and individual unsupported belief choices.
We live in information chaos where any bizarre theory can find support somewhere in the net.

Only 0.1% of the world's population will die from Covid - but every life is important.

Only 0.1% of the world's population will die from the vaccine - but that's an insignificant number.

Yes, but those under thirties can still catch and pass on the virus, so surely they should be vaccinated too.

Lucky you live in a well run state, not NY or California
