He guys hope all is well!

I'm looking for a way to add a little income while I'm in the country. Being that I am Dominican / American and speak both languages really well, maybe this can be a way to earn a few bucks a month to pay my local bills.

Anyone know the what they usually pay?

Any other info, feedback and or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Buenas noches Dominos.
Quisiera cuatro pizzas grandes. Dos con jamón y dos con pepperoni.
Tambien, incluya tres pedidos de alitas picantes y un cheesey bread.

Call centers in Santiago pay between 125 - 150 pesos PER HOUR for bi-lingual agents.
Depends on the center, the campaign (sales, customer service, collections, ect.) and the
amount of call center experience the applicant has.

Dang ! That's rough 😭😭.

Indeed it is.
Now if you start having to close your center early every day due to these
draconian restrictions no later than 5pm and your client needs those agents
on the phones handling calls until 8pm EST, as an agent how do you compensate
for the lost hours? As a Call Center owner/ operator, What do you do?

First instinct is to have your agents work from home right? Well that's very
easy to set up and run if they have a nice quiet room in the house/ apt to work from
with consistent internet speed and a reliable source of electricity along with some
self discipline.

Ask yourself, how many Dominicans do you know working on these low dead end type
wages who would meet those requirements?
Speaking from personal experience(s), not many at all.

The draconian restrictions may not help...... but nothing compared to the fukced up wages in the first place.

it’s normal wages here for call centers here mr malko
Call Center wages (which ain't much) are a hell of a lot
better than most of the Zona Franca (manufacturing) jobs.
Better than a lot of retail establishments too. However if
you are not bi-lingual and only speak Spanish you are looking
at around 90 pesos an hour.

I am here to rape and pillage the country while exploiting people's desperation.
LAUGING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK.:D:D:D
There you again with your assumptions Dr. Tosh.
I don't own a call center down here nor do I have any say
regarding the (current going rates) salaries a center pays
their employees.

you work in that exploitative industry and seem to like pushing people in the direction of the call centres. When i set up the project I worked on in RD they wanted to pay the local workers a pitiful wage and I protested and got them double you cold not live on the wage they proposed. when I told the staff they said you should just have left it, because when employers pay to little we just steal the rest.

Dude, if you don't stop with these ridiculous assumptions I'm going to file a formal complaint.

Can you give us an example of an industry in this country that is not exploitative?
