I have definitely heard the same thing. One person's opinion I got on that last night was " Free or no free, I don't trust this government and I'm not going to take it."

After the Vice president comments it is looking more and more likely that residents will not be included in the vaccination program in this country. The VP said the roll out should start next week and will be based on the electoral roll, which does not contain the names on legal resients with a no vota Cedula.
We may have to purchase our vaccine and that will probably not be an option until much later in the process. So unfair and short sighted in my opinion - but no one asked me. I wish there was a way to point out to the Govt that they are making a mistake adopting this limited plan. While not a major portion of the population residents interact with society every day and they can and do get sick and spread it around.
Vaccinating everyone protects protects all in the most efficient way possible. Is the thought to protect citizens first, and the others later? 🤦♀️
With vaccines being in short supply, there will be priorities set like they already have been in the DR.Vaccinating everyone protects protects all in the most efficient way possible.
Correct and should understand that the ''little blue pill'' was developed to treat cardiovascular disease ( sildenafil) ... .Some men will swallow the little blue pill produced by Pfizer without question, and they won’t get the Pfizer Covid vaccine because they fear side effects. The battle of the two heads, I guess.
I asked and both times the reply was, "the first vaccine I could get".I think a more sensible and helpful tread would be from posters that have met face to face with their doctor or a doctor and asks" Doc, which vaccine would you take and why?". Report here honestly with quality opinions and advise. There is at least an organiztion and some control over the information.
This is the end of Jan.I missed who said it (and can't find it now) but I just got a popup on my screen that the vaccine will be available here before the end of January.
Take that with a grain of salt. It was a ListinDiario popup but I can't find it on their homepage.
Nope! This is the end of Jan.
You know anyone vaccinated in the DR, with anything?
Also I would suspect that a large number of residents also fall into the older age bracket which is more susceptible to complications and lots of these older retired folks will have underlying health issues that make them even more vulnerable to Covid. I am very disappointed in the DR. Govt. I had such high hopes that they would care about everyone living in the country and as we struggle through this pandemic together.
While most people probably will not be able to choose which vaccine they receive
will take advantage of the offering. Supposed to start in a few weeks.
While not the panacea we all hoped for months ago, it has to be better than nothing for the majority who are not likely to have an adverse reaction.
here, I am encouraged that the President has apparently announced that the vaccination will be free or charge. I can only hope that they make it very easy to get in the hopes that most of the population
Me neither but we do hear about how the schools will be used and other details but no shots.Nope!
At the risk of being off-topic and sent on vacation again.
Had my second Pfizer vaccination three days ago.
The injection was routine, and the only effect I noticed was slight fatigue for two days and minor discomfort in the injected arm.
I would not have noticed the tiredness if I did not know what side effects to expect.
Immunity is reported seven days following the second injection.
There is disagreement about how much of the 95% people will get and how long the development of immunity will take.
Comforting to have this disease concern in my rearview mirror.
AstraZeneca jab should not be used on over-65's, says Germany
German authorities have blocked the use of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine on people aged over 65, the Financial Times has reported.
A statement by the Standing Vaccine Commission at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Germany’s main public health agency, said in a draft recommendation there were “insufficient data currently available to ascertain how effective the vaccination is above 65 years”.
Thus, it was recommended only that it be used for people aged between 18 and 64. It comes after the European Medicines Agency said on Tuesday that the vaccine may be authorised only for younger people in Europe, due to the insufficient data. It is expected to make a decision tomorrow.
Good for you, but and this is a big but,At the risk of being off-topic and sent on vacation again.
