Flor de CanaSipping on the remains of my last bottle of "Flor de Cana" and what I have left is an old bottle of Don Q which I'm not overly fond of. I ran out of Leyenda a few months ago and its not available here. However, Gaby just went home and I know what I have to look forward to upon her return.. I'm going to look for a bottle of Colonial to give it a try as Zacapa is ok.. I'll let you know what I think.. Thanks for the tip DR Guy..
Actually, what I have is the 18 year old. It's not bad, but a little dry for my taste which is why I prefer Leyenda. However, I drink my ron neat with a side of water to cleanse the palate when needed. Ron IMO is supposed to be on the sweeter side with an explosion of different flavors, but to each their own. My favorite when I can get it is Ron Colon which is basically a slightly higher proof Leyenda as far as taste goes.. It's a Salvadorian Ron..Flor de Cana
The 4, 7, 12, 25 or 30 ❓
Leyenda
Cannot carry Flor de Cana's water (well, mineral, or distilled) in my opinion.
And I have only tasted the 7.
In my opinion, real rum has no sugar added.
I keep Leyenda on my shelf for chicas and guests with different tastes than mine.

Guest's aboard for cocktail hour usually don't get my sipping ron's, and I always have some cheap Cruzan rums aboard for them to mix with coca cola or juice or they can have a beer.. Chicas that come aboard are my wife's problem..
