The Ministry of Public Health’s Epidemiology Department Coronavirus Bulletin #420 reports 822 new PCR cases for the Wednesday, 12 May 2021 deadline. The cases reported compare to the 7-day nationwide average for PCR confirmed cases that is 733.

As per Bulletin #420, with the deadline of 12 May 2021, the Ministry of Public Health has registered 274,319 confirmed cases since the first case on 1 March 2020. Labs carried out 4,818 first PCR tests. The number of PCR tests compares with the 14-day average now at 4,266.

The national 4-week positivity rate is 11.62%, up from the previous day. The 24-hour positivity for the day is 17.06%, up from the day before.

The number of reported active Covid-cases increased to 38,562, up (+572) from the previous 24 hours.

The DR has taken off and it's not even a week when authorities authorize anyone over 18 can get vaccinated.

On April 13 most of Latin America was in the Dominican rearview mirror.

By May 13 it had passed Brazil and Argentina.

I say within a week it should catch up to Uruguay, perhaps in less than two weeks it will surpass Chile to lead the region. Little DR kicking behinds left, right, and center. lol

They are definitely going pedal to the metal here. They are even sending teams to Free Zones to inject folks.

They are visiting our free zone today, and I finally got my first injection. They set up in our dispensary and I was in and out in less than 25 minutes.
