The Metro Office (Opret) informed that unscrupulous persons had painted graffiti on two rail cars at around 1am on Saturday, 24 July 2021. The men were discovered by maintenance crews and fled.

The Metro Office note says the units have been cleaned and the service would continue as normal. The Metro Office says they are investigating to press charges in the vandalism case.

In many countries they have hired artists to paint murals on surfaces that would be targets for graffiti. It seems that these folks have respect for other artist's work so will leave it alone. Sometimes it's the graffiti people that get hired to do the work.

The trains painted up properly might look nice, a change from the mundane.

This happens daily in London and New York and doesn't hit the news as it's so standard.

Street artists paint graffiti on Metro cars???
Lol, title of this thread is misleading. These
folks are not street artist. This illegible garbage
(probably scribbled by some recently deported
idiot) looks like something you would see in NYC.
Hardly what I call street art. Very different in my opinion.

Agreed. The street in places like Philadelphia is often beautiful. Graffiti is what gets painted on the metro and NYC subway trains.
