who is going to stop it if EVERYONE is in on the take?If you really want to stop the entire fake employee thing you just have to make everyone come and pick up a physical check or cash in person for three month. Those that don't show up, take them off the payroll.
Well, you have a very good point there.who is going to stop it if EVERYONE is in on the take?
The UN is a completely useless organization. The UN has almost zero effect on anything anywhere ever.POV from Venezuela... which is certainly held by many in #Haiti AND the USA

Gotta blame someone, as there is no way it could be their fault. The UN is a completely useless organization. The UN has almost zero effect on anything anywhere ever.
As for influence from and by foreign countries again being blamed for the perpetual problems in Haiti,
MA, what advantage do foreign governments gain by allegedly holding Haiti down for more or less 100 years?

"Charles resigned last year and is currently assigned to the Organization of American States in Washington."
I've long felt that every school in Haiti needs to include an anti-corruption class in every grade level that teaches children from 1st grade on what corruption is, the various ways it is carried out in every day life so they can recognize it, basic ethics, etc., with each grade level getting age appropriate education in how bad it is for the country, the economy, and how it impacts their lives and future.
The answer to your question can be found in the book "The Uses of Haiti" by Paul Farmer. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The UN is a completely useless organization. The UN has almost zero effect on anything anywhere ever.

If only there were LOTS and LOTS of free schools in HaitiI've long felt that every school in Haiti needs to include an anti-corruption class in every grade level that teaches children from 1st grade on what corruption is, the various ways it is carried out in every day life so they can recognize it, basic ethics, etc., with each grade level getting age appropriate education in how bad it is for the country, the economy, and how it impacts their lives and future.
For what it's worth, Haiti actually moved UP 2 points from 2020. Rated 164 out of 180 countries. https://www.transparency.org/en/cpi/2021/
I remember years back when Haiti was the MOST corrupt of all countries on that listI've long felt that every school in Haiti needs to include an anti-corruption class in every grade level that teaches children from 1st grade on what corruption is, the various ways it is carried out in every day life so they can recognize it, basic ethics, etc., with each grade level getting age appropriate education in how bad it is for the country, the economy, and how it impacts their lives and future.
