The Federal Canadian Auditor General finished the review of the cost and implementation of the Arrive Canada app. The report was presented today. The initial funding for the app was $400,000 but ballooned to $54 million dollars through government mismanagement and favouritism towards the original contractor. That’s mind boggling! Canadian government officials could teach DR government officials a thing or two about corruption and wastage.
I was one of the lucky 10,000 people who got threatening robo calls suggesting the police would be called if I didn't return my covid test. That was after getting the wave through at the airport, without being provided the test kit. After 14 days of my pseudo isolation, the calls stopped and thankfully the police didn't drop by to lock me up. Your tax dollars at work.
