Just for the record, the spokeperson for this La República beer won a Soberano (Dominican Oscars) as "Youtuber of the Year."

Also, he was one of the people to respond to Adalberto Crespo (from Santiago) fainting on the red rug in the beginning of the Soberano's at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, Santo Domingo.

Santiago Matías claims that República La Tuya beer took over Las Terrenas during Semana Santa at the expense of Presidente. He is also blamed for creating the mess and the garbage deluge that took over Las Terrenas dueing the last weekend.

Apparently, land will be acquired in the DR (most likely in SD) to construct a plant to produce this beer in the country. This means added new jobs will be created (from managers to all the other types in a beversge producing plant.) Plus, 10% of the stocks of República La Tuya will be available for the general public to purchase via the DR Stock Exchange.

That info hasn't been revealed yet, just announcing that the company will sell some of its stocks to the general public.

It's like McDonald's Dominicana in the sense that hardly anyone in the forum eats at a Dominican McDonald's, yet plenty of people buy their stuff.

I was at the McDonald's in Pto. Plata two weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good. 340 pesos($6.25) for a Big Mac Supreme Combo. That's only a dollar more than you'd pay for it in the states.

I can't get a burger and fries anywhere in Cabarete for less than 300 pesos and that doesn't include a drink - and none of the burgers are as good as McDonald's - none of the fries are either.

I thought McDonalds in Puerto Plata sucked big time. Really bad. Won't be returning.

But what about La Tuya? I never tried it. Less flavor than pool water?
