4 Door, 4 cylinder 2.5 liter turbo-diesel, 5-speed mechanical transmission, 45,000 km, bed liner, rain deflectors on doors, defenses front and rear. This is a solid and reliable vehicle. Located in Las Galeras. $21,500 US. Truck is currently garaged under cover. I'm ready, but in no hurry to sell.

FWIW, search for this model and year on FB marketplace to see where they're priced. Yours is a little on the high side.

Having said that, when I sold my Land Rover, it was the highest priced one on FB, and it sold pretty quickly due to the gringo ownership.

It’s a good truck, in exceptional condition, and with very few kilometers for its year.

My suggestion is that you don’t buy it, rather hold out for one of those 6 speed Australian rigs with the automatically dimming rear view mirror.
Why such low kilometers? That can be an indication that you just didn't drive it much, or just only locally, or it was broke down all the time. That said I know they are good reliable trucks.

They're based on the Ford Ranger. Good little diesel engine if you take care of them.

Lord. Really?

It has such low mileage because it wasn’t driven.

It wasn’t driven because it wasn’t needed.

Beginning in the early ‘70s, the Ford is essentially a re-badged Mazda, rather than the other way around—but that begs the question—are you interested in the truck or are we just gassin’?

Was a relevant question.

The 2014 Mazda BT-50 is essentially a rebadged Ford Ranger, but with some distinct Mazda flavor. From 2011 to 2020, the second-generation BT-50 was developed in partnership with Ford, sharing the same platform, chassis, and mechanical underpinnings as the Ford Ranger (T6 model). Ford Australia led the design, and both trucks rolled out of the same production lines, primarily in Thailand. They share engines—like the 3.2-liter inline-five turbo-diesel—and drivetrains, making them siblings under the skin.

Mazda didn’t just slap a badge on it, though. The BT-50 got its own styling, with a front fascia inspired by Mazda’s passenger cars (think Mazda 6 vibes) and a unique interior layout. The headlights, grille, and body lines set it apart visually, aiming for a more lifestyle-oriented look compared to the Ranger’s rugged workhorse appeal. Suspension tuning and steering were also tweaked to give it a slightly different feel—Mazda aimed for a sportier edge, though opinions vary on how noticeable that is.

So, while it’s built on the Ranger’s bones, Mazda put enough of its own spin on the 2014 BT-50 to make it more than a pure rebadge. The partnership ended after 2020, when Mazda switched to an Isuzu D-Max base, but for 2014, it’s a Ford at heart with a Mazda twist.

Just sayin'

Isuzu D-Max is one of the most reliable pickups made. Going head to head with Toyota and likely winning.
I drove 5 different Isuzus for many years and can say while they aren't fancy but they will get you where you're going with minimal (if any) repairs.

I love everything about Toyota except their seats on most of their vehicles, Most uncomfortable seats for the price on the market. Tacoma especially. All of the trucks are very expensive now. Wish I could afford a Ford Raptor.

D Max. Great trucks, but too small for me.

Okey doke!

Please let me know if you become interested in purchasing a low-mile, well-maintained and well-provisioned Turbo-diesel Ford pickup with a Mazda badge.

By the way, do you have somebody starting it regularly to keep everything working?
