On the flip side, do they still sell chestnuts on the corner in New York? I am wondering what they cost. I just spent 500 pesos for a pound of uncooked chestnuts in Nacional in Santiago. Did them myself on the stove.
They taste much better in New York.

They taste much better in New York.
The chestnuts were roasted over coals when I was growing up in NYC. That gave them a nice smokey taste.
