My gardener told me that when he was coming back to Palo Amarillo from Sosua today he saw a horrible accident at the new traffic light at La Cienega.

He said two people were crossing the street when a car ran the red light at a high speed and killed them.

This is heresy. I did not see it.

But please be careful if you are going to drive tonight. Even if you have not been drinking you have no idea about the drivers in other cars.

I would rather give myself a root canal than go out tonight

Same here, or any night, for that matter.

As one gets older, the glare from lights becomes more pronounced, and that, combined with LED lights on the majority of cars these days really does a number on one's vision.

If you're a super defensive driver like I am, the inability to have situational awareness at night makes it a non-starter.

A lot of these morons that always drive with their high beams on have also put tint on their front windshield, so I guess they need them on!

Heresy? Against what dictate? The Catholic Church? The strictly enforced traffic laws of DR?

Or hearsay perhaps? Which is a legal term, often not allowed by courts.

I think rumor might be the proper word.

It's another year! Happy 2025 for those that did make it.

As for the the traffic light in question which I can see from my house, I have not heard anything yet through the coconut telegraph about the deaths
Lindsey mentioned has "heresay". (As for being a heretic, that would be me, a heathen through and through) !

Ok.
You caught the English teacher in a misspelled word! Hearsay is what is correct. Both hearsay and rumor are examples of third party information passed from person to person. Hearsay and gossip are synonymous.
