Really? I'm European and never heard of this. I wish I had! Remember that Europe is a large continent with many different countries and cultures.

Personally, the woman in the video's actions don't really surprise me. Many people get very excited when they have the chance to be close to their favourite star.
Hmmmm, my favorites, in no particular order are: Albert Pujols, Stan Musial, Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, and Dave Freese. I would have liked to meet them all, but I wouldn't have acted even close to that. OK, maybe Freese, but not one else!!!

I cannot listen to him sing. Otherwise I have no idea what you are implying.
It's just a bit soft how he sings, there are also other male singers with a similar tone, perhaps not so strong though... I'm no fan, neither is my wife, but he doesn't sing bad by any means...

I'm a big fan of bachata and have quite a few favorite bachata singers but both he and his style of bachata are at the very bottom. He sins like a girl.

My wife doesn't care for him at all, but then she isn't a big fan of bachata or merengue. She prefers ballads or Salsa.

Yet he's pretty successful... Must be doing something right. As said, there are no fans of his in our household but obviously I know of him...

Which is why all of the girls like to sing his songs with him.

I think it's because all the gals absolutely adore him. They go completely gaga over him. I never met a Dominican girl that didn't seem to know all the words to his songs.

Salsa and bachata, both the music and the dance, are very popular worldwide and not just in Spanish speaking countries. Check out this girl from Slovakia:

As for Romeo, the first time I heard him was a few years back in a taxi. I asked the driver what HER name was.
He and mi amiga both had a good laugh over it.

That's a famous Japanese salsa band - Orquesta de La Luz. Very good!
