Why would I want to marry a Dominican woman the same age as me when I can get that in the USA that also comes with an education, good job, nice house, and grown children who don't live with her? Do you see how they age if they haven't been taken care of? With no dental benefits and gym membership? Whoa! I can't see the advantage without the twenty+ year age difference.

Then, I think gringos need to figure out what they want from these marriages. Marriage involves a lot banalities and responsibilities that the hot, fun young things gringos tend to marry are ill-equipped to handle. Oftentimes these marriages evolve into a parent/child dynamic that the girls begin to find tiresome and oppressive. Once married, the gringo attempts to turn the girl into a responsible, productive partner. He tries to send her to school to better herself, wants her to learn to be responsible with money and be able to manage a household. If she wanted to do all that then why bother marrying some old dude. Guys complain about how these women lie. If you try change a person you are pretty much asking them to lie to you.
That is the point some of the gringos are trying to make. If they are not truely in love with the gringo, DON'T accept gifts or money from the person. Dominicans are nice people I love Dominican people, but as partners they have a lot of issues. Reading a lot of peoples post on DR1 many of them are lonely, and when someone is alone constantly you will be suprise what they will do.

This is a very intelligent response but not entirely correct. I believe an important point that was left out is the cultural difference between women of the same age groups. While it is most certainly perpetuated not only by the lack of economic parity but indeed economic opportunity, along with more grounded family values, as well as being fine as hell, produces a more mature female that is more desirable with less drama if you choose correctly.
My response was about a specific situation. I already mention earlier in the thread that not all women are like this.
