You are right - to protect oneself 100% is not possible, but to try the best - is.

Right, I swim in highly contaminated Sosua Bay as there is no other option here.

BTW, the best mouthwash is 30-day old Kambucha (with added 1-2 drops of standardized Tea tree oil B4 use).

And the best deodarant is Thai stone. Totally odorless and clean.

One has much more in his/her power than he thinks. And natural life becomes even better with better health and mood. I think of founding a life enhancement/longevity academy(clinic) for older people later on. When all other life priorities are sorted out. I accumulated alot to share with those people who believe and have will.
Will you post your picture to show how well it has worked for you?

Do you ever use a grill? - Never
What??? Never had a char broiled filet mignon or t-bone...I,d rather die of cancer

Go to the doctor to get an x-ray? - I do not trust commercial doctors and never visit them. What??? Were you hatched in a hen house? Who delivered you??

Home made mouth wash??? Ya, me too, Brugal and coke with lots of lemon.

And, with out pesticides, we would have a lot more starving people in this small world trying to support 8,000,000,000, not to mention how much wood would cost with all the bugs and blites trying to eat it before it gets to market.

Do you use plastic containers (i.e. water bottles), those have been linked to cancer -no, I use all sterling silver

. Do you cook on teflon coated utensils? - No, I do not. I cook in clay, without any oil added.
Do you ever use a grill? - Never

Do you drink city water? - No, I use distiller

Do you have a cell phone ? - I use Plantronics all the time.

Go to the doctor to get an x-ray? - I do not trust commercial doctors and never visit them.

Smoke? - No

Sunbathe? - Never. Just Swim and go home.

Use mouthwash? - Not commercial. Home made.

Lipstick or lip balm?- No

If you're a woman and wear a bra? - Not a woman. Do not wear bra.

If you use deodorant? - No. Tai stone.

etc, etc, etc...You guessed it Cancer. - All you mentioned cause cancer. But neither myself nor other educated people do not use this unhealthy stuff for many years. For healthy people life is so beautiful. Even at 70-80-90... But it needs education and disciplin. But worth it.

Wanna arm wrestle??? Humans are meat eaters...look at our eye teeth...for ripping meat.I do a veggie diet for a week at a time to try and trim down, now and then, and I feel like crap after the week.
Nothing makes lil' ace stand up better than a good piece of beef and a glass of Chilean vino tinto. Celery and tofu don,t do it.

"Live longer" is not my goal. Too primitive and miserable. To be always strong and healthy and without pain - is one. Never to be a burden to my loved ones. To compete successively in a demanding sport against guys 20-30 years younger. This is my goal. And I am my own living proof for myself that I am right in what I am doing and how I live.

I want every one to be like me. And I share at any opportunity. If people are willing to listen at least. And hopefully to change their life styles and eating habits even a bit. A see and know that I did a right thing and feel great because of this. The more one gives the richer he becomes. We are born to share and suport each other. Not to try to rip off at any opportunity.

Afgan, I genuinely find healthy living a great concept, obviously we all have different levels of approach to it. It is only when you tell me I am breathing in cancer because I live in a rendered home that something tells me someone has been chasing fairies around the mushroom farm.
Healthy living, good / breathing cancer, tosh.

I do admire your willpower. I don't think I could...

In my case since I can't go to such lengths In life style change (at least not for now) I try to follow the Dominican way (lots of alcohol, party, be happy all the time, dancing, women to keep you younger, etc)...I may not live as long, but hopefully I won't have many regrets that I missed out on too much.

BTW there was recently a study that found that drinkers (even heavy drinkers) regularly outlive non-drinkers.

Good for drinkers. But not every one likes alcohol.
On top of that being in touch for many years with good friends who drink , it is obvious that little by little booz weakens will power and strong positive determination, self focusness, clearity of mind and thinking, athletic shape and stamina... In other words - brings nothing with it that makes us feel strong and proud of ourselves.

Nothing personal nor invasive. Just each being finds his balance, composure and happines his own way.

And it is not willpower. I really enjoy my simple healthy meals, my clean pure life, my interrelationship with the World. In some situations , not to offend people or not to look obsessed or excentric I have to drink or to eat meat, sweets, pizza and such. I am not religious against it, just feel weaker and less healthy and envigorated the next day and less ready for action and less inclined to make loves. And I do not like this feeling.

Drinking in moderation thins the blood and helps circulation. I have been drinking virtually every day since I was 18 and I'm now 45. I also have been working out at the gym since I was 20.

BTW, I do like your helpful and positive attitude.

i agree as far as long life goes. i do not fancy being old, thank you very much. as far as strenght and the lack of pain goes, afgan, this is often a question of pure luck: you may have an accident or suffer from disease that shows later in life. and you can still get cancer no matter what, hell, you may have it already and not know it since you do not trust doctors.

but "i want every one to be like me" sounds really maniac, i am sorry to say. i do not want to be like you. or like anyone else. i would like to remain like me.

The only people I knew in the UK who NEVER drank were alcoholics - ironic really.

Here I know plenty of people who do not drink becuase they just do not like it.

Drinking will destroy some peoples' lives yet for others it seems to have few long term effects.

Each to their own.
