I just cannot understand why the municipality does not make it easier for pedestrians to cross the malecon. It is a beautiful walk in the morning along the malecón, if you can cross. I have at times been unable to cross And returned to my hotel.

Marianopolita has it right. There were interesting articles on all aspects of life in the DR including Sanky Pankies, tourism, etc. I found them to be very well written and informative.

The previous website allowed for selection of new posts based on the last 1, 2 or 3 days. No such filtering is provided with the new software. How are “New Posts” defined in the new website?

Is it possible to rent a portable wifi hotspot device in the DR? I do not know the proper word for the device. It is a small box that you can carry around with you and provides access to wifi. I rented one on a recent trip to Japan and I was able to use WatsApp on my Canadian phone.
